Charo Escondido

Today we went on a family adventure to a waterfall outside Cali called Charo Escondido. We were met down the street from our apartment in the morning by the guide and drove an hour to the waterfall/ watering hole.
Half of the drive was off road and required using 4 wheel drive. We walked the rest of the way. Lola was able to walk the 30 minutes on her own and Gwennie was carried on Amys back.
When we arrived there was another family hanging out and enjoying the cool water.

Ciclovia in Medellin

Today we rented bikes in Medellin and cruised the city. Colombia has a very organized biking festival every Sunday in most of the large cities. Miles of city streets are blocked off and used exclusively for bikes, runners, and walkers.

They even had an strider station for kids who are learning to ride bikes. There were Zumba stations as we peddled along. Also along the path were vendors selling fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice and bike repair stations.
