Jellies and a belly

We made a quick trip into the Monterey Bay Aquarium last weekend. Benji, Joe, Amanda and I stopped by to check out the feeding in the outer bay. It was something none of us had seen before and was quite a lively show. The poor sunfish was too slow for the tunas' quickness and everytime it would get up to a piece of sardine, another tuna would rush by and gobble it up. Hilarious! This picture in front of the jellyfish is Pookie at 24 weeks.

I have been "bulking up" quite nicely, as Benji and Dom would say. My visit with the midwife this week went well, she said that everything is normal and up to schedule. I will get a blood test in a few weeks to test for gestational diabetes as a part of the normal procedures.

We are back in school (SJSU) for the semester. In my courses, it feels good to be in the second semester and not just learning everything new for the first time. Benji is teaching Saturday school and taking two grad courses, so he will be very busy this semester. He benched pressed 205 the other day and is hoping for two plates before spring break.

Enjoy your last day of January!

Bench pressing 205 is quite an accomplishment, Benji. Proud of you both or 3 of you, I should say.
Sending big hugs and lots of love,
