Loretta meet Loretta

Wow! The first 7 weeks of Lola's life have flown by. We are pretty much in step with our baby girl now. Of course, as soon as we have it figured out - it changes. The day to day usually goes like this:
Morning - We take turns watching Lola while the other runs errands or goes to the gym.
Afternoon - Usually a nap and perhaps a walk.
Evening - Dinner and a movie (at home of course)
She is alert for longer periods of time each day and is starting to coo. It is the most amazing feeling to make eye contact with her and see her smile. She enjoys tummy time, but only for a minute or two. She loves to be carried around and given a tour of the house. We do it daily, and she never seems to get bored of it.

I am enjoying parenting immensely, and I am so happy to be a mom and see Benji as a dad. It isn't easy, but for now we are so lucky to be home and enjoying every new development. I have started calling her Lola and Benji calls her Lolo.

As far as travels, we have been to Bakersfield, Big Sur and Seaside 3 times! This weekend Lola and I will head to Santa Cruz for Eve's Baby Shower.
