Our Volcano

Today we made a huge volcano in the sandbox. Anna brought some vinegar and baking soda out to the sandbox, she asked for help digging a hole in the sand. The children grabbed spoons and shovels and we made a big hole in the sand. Then we found a funnel and pushed it down in the hole, with a bottle on the bottom. Anna added the baking soda and some red liquid watercolor. Then we called all the children over to witness our natural disaster. When all the children we gathered around, Anna asked them are you ready and they all yelled “Yes” So Anna poured the vinegar into the baking soda, and the explosion began. The children were so excited, they started jumping and screaming. They kept saying “more” and “again” So we used the two bottles of vinegar, and made four more volcanoes. Anna said she will try and purchase more items so we can make more volcanoes, and the children all agreed by saying “Yes, buy more stuff!”
